I don't know how any of you manage to do it. Around here you can't seem to pull one off the lot for under 36k even if you know the dealship owner and have every promotion ever issued applied to your purchase. I guess living in CT is more expensive than I ever thought.

My 04.5 listed for $38k, final price before taxes and registration was $29,990, I ended up shelling out a grand total of about $32k after taxes and registration (including my trade).

It seems to me that where I bought my truck is still probably the best place to buy. Sure, it is out of the way, but they will pick you up at the airport in Houston or San Antonio. For me, it was still considerably cheaper to buy there, fly to Houston and drive it back home. The company is La Grange Dodge in La Grange, Tx. Talk to Sydna and tell her that Stan from Mexico sent you. They are good country people.

Mine would have stickered at 44k MSRP with added options and 7 years of oil changes, 0% and $2500 rebate with the 7 year 100k mile extended warranty with nerf bars, soft cover, grille guard SLT quad-cab 4X4 HD with towing package and the works except power seats and leather, 34k OTD. Traded in a Dodge Intrepid and was down to about 28k. (intrepid was loaded)

Remember, mine is an '03. I paid $32,610 out the door. This price included all taxes, tag, Rhino liner, a full tank of diesel, after market immobilizer, changing the rear window to a slider, three different lengths of ball drops, three different ball sizes, locking gas cap, spare tire lock, paper Dodge service manual, nerf bars and both 4 pin and 7 pin trailer plugs with pigtails.
No dealer in 5 states could come even close to this price. There have been a few DTR members that have come from quite a long way away that have bought their truck at La Grange. The furtherest north I know of is Pennsylvania.
They picked me up at the Houston airport free of charge.

At a later date when I was up that way I took it in for a service and reported a problem with stiff steering plus tracking to the right. They found a defective steering box. As no steering boxes were available for two days and the fact I was out of town and needed to get going, they decided without me pushing them, to bring in a new vehicle and 'borrow' the steering box from that. They of course also did a steering alignment afterwords. All my steering problems went away and I was back on the road that same afternoon. While they were working on my truck they also loaned me a brand new car to go into town for lunch etc. You can't beat that for outstanding service!

The underfloor storage is the one in the back under the folding flat floor. There are three compartments, two deep ones and one shallow one, all interconnected. There is also the front storage under the center seat.

I'm not sure how I did on my truck, a Laramie H 4x4 QC DRW. MSRP was $46195 + what they call adjusted market value of $1995, which brought the price to $48190. I ended up giving $38.569 after the $2500 rebate and $1000 cash, but that also includes the SRT 10 hood and having the hood painted. But the good thing about it is that I'm only paying $90 more a month on my NEW Dodge compared to what I was giving for the used '97 Ford I had.

As you can see from my signature I paid $500 below invoice last year when these truck were brand new. I had a price from a dealer in OK. At $358 under invoice and when I told one of my local dealers that, he countered with $500 off invoice with no B.S. charges like prep etc.
Let me know if I can find you one. I am sure you could fly in and pick up the truck. That is what I was going to do in OK.

I talked to a dealer today in Celina,OH which is about 150 miles from me and here is the deal they said they would do on a 2005 2500 4x4 slt qaudcab longbed 6 speed cummins

sell it at invoice price $36,000 +/- some
and give me these rebates 1000$ cash back form dodge 750$ for taking out a loan with dodge and 500$ if your a member of the farm bereau so thats about 33750$ plus tax/title

The only thing is thats only on a special order truck I don't understand why but I'm not complaining because they dont have any in stock that I like anyways. So tomorrow I'll call a few other places and see if they can do any better but if not I'm going to go ahead and order one

Don't let them off the hook like that! I just over paid slightly for one at 34.5k. It is a 04.5 quad cab 4x4 SLT with a half a dozen or so other options tow, chrome dodads, LSD, etc. I had traded my 2002 CTD which was similar, and got Kelly Blue book for it, with minor damage to a the bed from a meeting with a pole, a failing VP44 and a weak clutch so I wasn't upset with that part of the deal. I found slightly better deals after I made mine on the net in CT, but with no talk of the trade.

You can easily get one in the 34-35k range in CT, and even less if you are willing to push. I ended up taking a copy of an out of state ad from one of the dealers talked about on the board. Told them I thought I was being charged too much. They had been trying to get over 36k from me, and caved after seeing the ad. The problem I had is that the dealer where I wanted to buy my truck, had no trucks on the lot and the deal I was cutting was on a truck in upstate New York.

Check with Holley, Executive, and Crowley Dodge , they had trucks on the lot when I was looking. Executive had quoted me a price in the 34-35 range on a truck with the SLT trim only if I wanted to order a 2005.

Don't have the invoice with me but I think it was about 34K.
I pulled dealer invoice numbers from the Internet and handed a spreadsheet to the sales guy.
My deal was for dealer invoice +800 - 2500 mfg rebate.

00turbo, Jackson's is a great place to buy from. I have heard so many good things about them.

My experience with them has been through their service department, though. Top notch. If you ever need any work done on your truck these guys KNOW diesels. They not only work on our trucks but they do a lot of work on semi's and other large diesel vehicles. Their garage looks nothing like a typical Dodge dealership... it looks more like a Freightliner service center. It's quite impressive.

Also, while you're in that neighborhood check out St Mary's Chrysler/Dodge. Good folks there, too. It's probably 20 minutes from Jackson's.
