How many miles did you gt out of your stock BFG's?

So i'm getting close to a new stof tires, the original factory BFG AT's have about 60,000 miles on them, and will need to b replaced before the snow comes.

I drive A LOT of gravl in my business and farm some and what not as well so they are definitely getting some gravel dammage to them, with the low tread I know I am suspect for stone drilling as well.

I also tow a fair bit, often fairly heavy.

However, I must say that these tires have given me the best mileage to date of any LT tire I have ever owned. MUCH better than anything I ran on my second gen.

I know some people say that there is a wide variation in the quality of factory tires that come on new vehicles, however I'm pretty satisfied and seeing what everybody else is getting for mileage out of these things.

I'd also be interested to hear how much gravel you run and how much towing you do because these two fators seem to play a big part in tire life.

I'd also add that these tireshave only been rotated once.

Yes I know, but never the less I'm impressed with their longevity.

I do HATE them on wet ashphalt though, very poor grip, mud and snow has been satisfactory (haven't been stuck yet).

Let's see what we get!

I'm considering buying 3 new BFG's, swapping my spare onto an aluminum rim and keeping the best original tire and mounting it on the spare.

I've had about 10 to 12 sets of BFG AT KO's. I've gotten 70,000 to 80,000 miles out of them. I do rotate with the spare about every 5000 miles. I do not tow much. I do use them on the highway for about 100 to 150 miles per day. They also see alot of construction sites. I have had only one blow out on the interstate. My truck came with BFG Rugged Trails. I did not like their traction, but I got 65,000 miles out of them with plenty of tread left. I also have used the AT KO's in very rocky, muddy, snowy conditions and have been pleased with their traction. Very quite tire.

On my 04.5 I changed them at 55000. They were worn but if I had stayed in Michigan they would had lasted another 10K or more but with a long trip planned we changed them out for a new set. On my 07 I'm at 24K and they are wearing OK, I'm at 9/32 on the rear and 11/32 on the front. I would project somewhere around 60 K on them. Friend has the 2x4 otherwise same truck with the Michelins and he changed his at 70K and they were getting thin. They aren't really good off road though, the AT's seem not great but better thant he Michelins off road.

I got 109,000 miles out of the first set. Have about 55,000 on second set, with more than half the tread left.

I only got 87k out of them. I got a flat and there was no way to repair it so I brought 3 new tires and had the spare remounted!

I am replacing mine this week. I have a decent amount of tread left, but my sidewalls are falling apart. My 04 did this too, but I traded it at 45k before getting new tires..

My neighbor has an 03 with about 60k on the same tires, has the same issue with the sidewalls..

I have 44k on the current tires..

Replacing with BFG All Terrain TA/KOs same size and e-rated..

My stock BFG Rugged Trails came off with about 300 miles on them. I sold them to a friend with a Dodge Ram 1500 that does HOT Shot work. He put them on and got nearly 100k out of them. Just shows what E rated on a 1500 will do.

Got about 85K out of the stock tires. Went to rotate one day and found LARGE, DEEP cracks on the inside sidewalls. Replaced them with Michelin's.

Coincedentally I have one tire with sidewall checking as well, it's on the right hand front at the momment. I thought maybe it had scrubbed curbs parking or something but perhaps that is typical of those tires?

I have put an additional 50,000 on mine since buying the truck (used). I don't know if the previous owner ran them for the entire time before I bought the truck, but when I bought the truck I figured I had 10,000 miles left max before I replaced them. I am still not ready to change them. 99.9% asphalt driving, a little towing.

Just an update on my thread, I changed the OE tires out last week for Pirelli Scorpions. I went to the Pirelli's because I gota smoking deal on them.

I had just over 76,000 on the BFG's.

If I get as many miles out of the Pirelli's I'll be THRILLED.

16,000 to 18,000 miles.

Switched to Revo A/Ts' and still get only about 17,000 miles but off road 50%pulling stock trailers.

I had the sidewall issue with my stock bfg's. by 85k one of them had peeled of pretty bad, but I did not get around to replacing them till 90k. only about 25% of there use was gravel, about 10% on dirt, all the rest highway/around town
