How many miles did you get from your stock Michelins?

I was reading a poll regarding stock BF Goodrich tires. I have the stock Michelin tires and had wondered how many miles I might see out of them. Right now, I have 5/16 left and am at 53,800- I have 2/3 tread left (minus the wear indicators). So, 100,000 sounds possible.

I've always liked Michelin tires, light truck and heavy truck. The LTX A/S that is stock on the Dodges definitely does not have the traction that an all-terrain tire does while off the pavement, but for it's on-road all-season design, I think it's done well in rain, snow and ice. For this pickup, I wanted extended mileage tires.

For those of you who kept your stock Michelins, what did you get out of them?

At 62k I had 5/32 at the thinnest part on one of the tires and the thickest was 7/32 or almost 1/4". The A/T 2 Michelins was what I replaced them with and really like them....I actually have traction on snow, ice and wet pavement. The wear rating "says" that it's better but well see.

I ran my stock Michelins for 85,000 miles until I upgraded to the Hummer H2 wheels and tires. I gave my old Michelins to a friend who put them on his rig so he could pass inspection in VA and he is still running them. They are a pavement tire only though, anytime I pulled into grass with any type of moisture I would have to lock in the four wheel drive.

Same here, took mine off at 980 miles. One trip to Eastern Washington in February and I'd seen enough.

They currently reside on my wifes Tahoe. They've got about 20k on them now. They work great for her pavement pounder.

I got rid of mine at 17k.
Horrible wet pavement and snow traction.

Thanks guys, but I'm not looking for how long they didn't last you. I'm only interested to see how many are getting high milage, and the average.

I've got a play-toy on the bottom of my signature for the rough job sites and weekend off-highway excursions.

I'm looking for extended mileage (ěk•stěn•dĭd mī•lĭj).

I cannot believe people are seeing 90k+ out of these - - that is amazing! I only had them on the truck til 24k and they only had 1/4 tread left......they did have a few burnouts on em though.
A good friend of mine has a '04 dually, hauls heavy daily and saw 52k out of the stock BFG AT; then went to a BFG KO and saw 50k, then went to a Big O XT and made 52k; after the 2 sets of aftermarket 315's he decided to do the 22.5 conversion 2 months ago and is planning to get 150k out of them.

My father-in-law had an 03 3/4 QC SB Hemi and he got 85K out of them, and only changed them because winter was coming. Those were 95% hwy miles, but still a TON of miles.

I got 175,000 KM (110,000 miles) on my stock tires with my 2001, 2WD. Slide truck camper and 7X14 utility trailer. I was impressed, although traction at times was less then desirable

The Michelins are a great long wearing highway towing tire. Other than that, they are crap, little traction in wet weather, and will get you stuck in wet grass. I could spin the Michelins on wet pavement just by letting the clutch out (with no throttle). I ditched mine at 35k but still have at least half the tread left.
