How hard is it...
To install the 2.5" leveling kit?
Goin over the front coils, and replacing the shocks at the same time.
Can i do it myself, or am i going to need to find a buddy to sit in the cold with me?
Also will i need to disable the steering?
Kit shows up on friday.
Purpose of the kit is to fit some 35" in there...

Its not hard all you need is spring compressors and patience. Dont disable the steering all I did was remove the top nut on the stabilizer bar and it gave me enough room to put the spacers in. Good luck
No spring compressor needed.A helping hand is always great but not needed either.Jack the front of the truck up and use jack stands to support it on the frame behind the front axle.Make sure the front tires are off the ground.Remove the upper bolt in the traction bar to allow for more suspension drop.Remove the front wheels and have at it.When your done to align the trac bar bolt back up,crank the truck and from underneath turn the steering shaft till the hole lines back up.
You can jack one side at a time up and do it but its much easier to do it the above way

Well the down and dirty way we did it on jeeps (same suspension design) was to place the factory jack between the axle housing and frame rail and crank it up. Just loosen up the sway bar end links and shocks (keep a close eye on the brake lines) might have to loosen the mounting bolt...
Again on the jeeps, I have actually done this with out even removing the tires (just to see if it could be done)..
If you do go the spring compressor route, be very careful, there is alot of stored energy there...
