How Do You Stop the Annoying Accelerator Vibration?
I've heard of others with this problem, but on my truck when you set the cruise and kick back the gas pedal starts vibrating. Is there a quick and easy way to fix this? It's rather annoying.

Mine doesn't do that, but it likes to squeak when I jab it on a cool day. I fixed that with a little bit of silicone spray.

I have it, but only when towing. It does not do it in cruise running solo. Tough to trouble shoot. Hard trying to hang out under the dash running 60 down the road in cruise.
I have pushed, tugged, turned, twisted, hit and even kissed everything around the accel pedal and can't get it to show up. ??? ???
Couldn't find a squirrel to kiss.

Hey fellas,,,,,
Try looking at this TSB 14-04-98.
I know it's for an older model truck, but it might help you figure out a fix. I was going to get the TSB done but mine stopped vibrating after I installed my gauges. I guess I must have moved the throttle cable unknowingly to a position where it doesn't make noise anymore. ??? ;D

Hey, wouldn't that be the squirrel's pajamas if that applies to the 03. How 'bout that, Hoss. Now you can really go kiss that squirrel.

I was kind of hoping for something easy....like putting a rubber band tight around the back of the pedal or something. :-

As I read this, I got thinking - - surely, after five years, they would have figured this out and not have the same problem. Does this truck even have a cable? I haven't looked. So many use a remote sender now. A rubber band sure sounds good to me - - just don't know where to put it.
Hey Hoss, do you know how to catch a squirrel?
Climb a tree and act like a nut.

Ever since that incident with that squirrel I quit climbing trees. :'(
I need to look at the pedal some more....but there has to be a way to stop it. I can put my fut on the pedal and it goes away....but what's the use in cruise control if you have to put your foot on the pedal??

Re:How Do You Stop the Annoying Accelerator Vibration?
I had the same issue. I read somewhere (here or the "other" site) about a fix. I opened the hood and took off the plastic cover on the "throttle". I took a good rubberband and wrapped it around the assembly that the end of the fuel pedal cable attatches to. I made sure that nothing was resticted and called it good. Buzz stopped. Now every time I change the oil, I replace the rubber band since they tend to wear out. I tried to get the dealer to apply the TSB mentioned here but since it does not specify 03 or later they wouldn't. Good luck.

Hoss,
My first 03 did at starting at around 1000 miles. Never got it fixed, just put my toe under the pedal. Could only hear it if the radio was off.
So far new truck hasn't done it. But, it doesn't have but around 600 miles on it.
