Horn Blast when pushing remote door lock
Re:Horn Blast when pushing remote door lock
Not sure exactly what you're asking noobie, but my immediate answer would be that yes, you're too lazy to look it up in the book. :P ;D
Re:Horn Blast when pushing remote door lock
You know when you lock the doors with the keyless remote your horn will beep! Very annoying!!!!!!!
I want to know how to turn that off!!! :-X ;D ;D

Re:Horn Blast when pushing remote door lock
The only way I know how to do that is to look in the book. It went better then the changing of the lcoks when you unlock it, now istead of the front doors all of them unlock. Removing the horn tone was much easier. I have no advice except to look in the owners manual, sorry.

Re:Horn Blast when pushing remote door lock
WE have a detached garage about 50 feet away from the house - sometimes at the end of the day, I remember that I didn't lock the truck, so all I need do it hit the "lock" button while listening for the horn beep from the garage, and without even leaving the house, the truck is locked and secure - I wouldn't be without that feature! ;D ;D ;D
Re:Horn Blast when pushing remote door lock
It is FAR easier for YOU to look in the book than it is for ME to type out the procedure. Good luck. ;D
Like Gary, I like my horn chirp as I can confirm the truck is locked without actually seeing it.

You'd better believe that chirp is for a reason. I agree with Hoss. You pay good money for a feature, then want to disable it so you will never know if the signal was received and the locks activated. If you want to sneak in the late at night without anyone knowin, don't use the remote. Learn to push the button inside before closing the door.

Besides you can read the instructions in the book.

AHHHhh grasshopper YOU would understand better if YOU ever had to get into the outdoor clothing on a cold wet, windy night to go out to lock up, instead of simply clicking that remote button and hearing the reassuring toot telling you your baby is now secure for the night...

There IS a difference between asking others to do what you can do for yourself, and taking advantage of some of the features you have paid for... ;D ;D ;D

Besides that...HE said he was lazy...I just agreed with him. ;D My easy chair comment was intended to demonstrate my own personal laziness as well (plus you can read your owner's manual from the easy chair and learn how to deactivate such things as annoying horn chirps).
Re:Horn Blast when pushing remote door lock
Well I was thinking it would be nice if all the doors would unlock instead of just the drivers door.I should go out and read my manual but alas here I sit in my lazy chair at the computer.I didn't mean to sound negative.I was smiling as I typed.

mike b
Re:Horn Blast when pushing remote door lock
Smiling is good..... ;D But...you are correct....if you'd get your lazy BUTT up out of that chair and go read your manual then you'd KNOW how to make all four doors unlock at once!!!!! :P ;D :P ;D

Just kidding.....sorry I said butt.

I know it you can turn of the remote door lock horn! I just don't know how!! Or I'm to lazy to look it up in the book.
