Mine has the color matched thing on it from the factory. I debated about ordering it, figuring the shield would just get rock chipped and look crummy, but it turns out to be much more durable than I gave it credit for.

At first I liked the looks of the trucks better without the shield, and I ordered it just to protect the paint on the hood, but the look with the shield has kind of grown on me.

If I were to do it over again, I would.
