holes in pu bed

holes in pu bed

Just took out 5th wheel hitch,and am needing advise on how to fix the holes.
anyone have any good ideas?

I used to have a tow unit in the bed of my truck from when I repossed vehicles. I had my truck line Xed and told them to cover the holes up when they did the spray in. That was several months ago and so far it has held up with no problems what so ever. you can't even tell where the hioles where.

Go to a junkyard and cut out a square of bed, 3-4 ribs/3-4 ribs so you have enough to stager it for your hole, cut out the matching piece and weld it in, grind it smooth...

Hold a copper backing-plate on the bottom of the holes then mig them shut and grind smooth.
