high beams?

I get high beams flashed at me all the time with my low beams and fog lights on. My high beams seem too high, i like driving with my low beams on most of the time. Anyone have this problem. 06 dually quad cab.

Could be your headlight adjustment, or your foglights. Do they still do it if you just have your low beams? Both fog lights and headlights have adjustment. I ended up adjusting my headlights down a bit. The adjuster screw is on the side of the headlight under the grill. There is a rubber weatherstrip that partially covers the adjuster hole. You need a Torx #20 screwdriver. I would start with a turn or 2 and see how they are. I started with 4 turns down, and it was way too much. I don't normally drive with the fog lights on.

It's probably your "Fog" lights, you shouldn't use them as "Driving" lights unless it's foggy. They have a wide projected beam rather than a long forward beam like driving lights.

It may also be your height compared to low vehicles, when I'm in my Mustang I hate my wife following me and I hate approaching the newer trucks, the headlights are right at my eye level.

Does this type of thing happen more to you guys with leveled trucks vs. stock? I might be inclined to think that leveling your truck would require an adjustment of the headlights due to the change in the angle of the light beam.

I see mine look to high since I leveled the truck. I will make sure I have the #20 torx, but is a clockwise turn up or down? I guess I can just try and see but a little knowledge in advance will save time.

I can't remember which way to turn down. Seems to me it is clockwise. I adjusted mine initially on the driveway with the lights shining on the garage door. Makes it easy to see which way your adjusting. I then took it onto the highway, and adjusted them to what seemed good. Took a few times stopping to adjust as I went too far the first time. Haven't been flashed since.

Like I said, 1-2 turns is probably all you need. If you pay close attention to how much you turn them it makes it easier if you need to go back. Both headlights need to be even also.

i'll try driving without the fog lights on for a while to see if thats it. although i think it might be the head lights, because the high beams seen too high. i will go for a drive tonight.

Clockwise should move the beam down.
