im reaching out to the 3rd gen guys for help, i need to change the headlight bulb on my hemi (sorry), i got the bulb out of the headlight but i cant get the wiring to come off of the bulb. i pryed the little red tab out but it still wont come, is it just stuck or is there something else?

 

I think all you have to do in twist the ring to the left. It should disengage the bulb and plug from the lens assembly and then you should be able to pull the bulb out of the plug. Reverse the procedure to re-install but be careful not to touch the bulb or it won't last long.

 

i guess its just stuck in the plug it will not come out

 

I changed mine out in December but don't remember doing anything special. Maybe I've just done it too much and I don't remember the finer points. Sorry.

 

OK, I found an old bulb in the garage. On the flat side of the plug there's a little tab on the bulb. That means there will be a plastic retainer that fit over the tab. You may have to use a small screwdriver to carefully pry the retainer up so you can wiggle the bulb out of the plug. IIRC the first time I did mine they were a bugger.
