Lights problem

Help! I have a major problem with the lights in my 2004 Ram 2500. After I started the engine last night, the passanger side headlight turned on and stayed on but no other lights would work. Any ideas what this might be?

Welcome to the site.

Do the 04's have relays for the headlights?

If not, disconnect a battery, and see if that helps the problem...

Thanks, I'll try disconnecting the battery tonight and see if that helps. Funny thing is the headlight truns on without the switch being on, and even after turning on the switch, none of the other lights or turn signals work.

I'm not sure if you have relays for the headlights or not, but that is what it sounds like to me...

I've had problems with my lights before, but a simple reflash of the computer resets my problems...

Good luck, and let us know what you find out.

2004 RAM 2500 Lights problem!

I discconected the battery last night but that didn't work. Guess I got to take it to a mechanic after all.

Did you look in the fuse box to see if your headlights have relays?

Maybe your light switch has gone bad.
