Heater blows only hot

On my 06 when the heater is on it is max heat even when the control is is on cold, the A/C and defrost also will not turn on any suggestions, also the circ door is broken, not sure if that would cause this too happen

My recirculation door was broken too but I fixed that issue. I did not have the heater/AC/defrost problem prior to the broken recirculation door problem. Might be a different problem with the control switch or a vent flap. I am sure you will find an answer either from a search on this site or someone with more knowledge than me will chime in...

If you can get air out of the various vents, e.g. floor, dash and defrost, but the air is always hot, I'd say it is the blend door as this door controls the air temp. The recirc door controls whether or not air is pulled from inside or outside the cab and the mode door controls which vent the air blows from.

IIRC Good luck!

Well as far as I can tell I'm going to have to pull the dash and everything anyway since I have to do the circ door, so ill rip that apart and see how everything ticks and go from there, thanks guys

The R&R of the dash is pretty easy......just take your time. If your doors are broke, visit www.HeaterTreater.net (I think it's .net anyhow) and purchase their doors.....they won't break, guaranteed!!!!

This would almost indicate a faulty control head which, in turn, could be causing your "heat only" problem.

You'd be ahead of the ballgame by replacing it. They're not much....I think my buddy paid a little over a hundred bucks for his.

Well I put a different controller on and still nothing. What's next, I highly doubt that the different controller would have the same symptoms as the old controller, is there a hidden fuse, something that is in a series and is bad before the controller

Well this thing is blowing me away, I disconnected my battery cables for 10 min, and wiggled wires and such things, tried the heater switches, and bam, the circ door moves, the a/c light comes on the heated mirrors button works...... I go to put it all back together and thought I'd just try once more.... Nothing I'm back to square one again, I don't know what to try any more

ok i pulled the dash on sunday night and replaced the blend door, circ door, mode 1 door, and the mode 1 door was jammed up causing it not to move the flapper, so i replaced them all with heater treater parts and put the dash back together to plug everything in and still only have control of the fan speed, still cant change where the air comes from adn also the a/c mirrir heater lights do not work, tried with two different control panels too... now what
