Kit's came from Retro-Solutions for both mine and my Dad's truck. I went with 35w slim ballasts for me and standard size for his. Stick with the 4300k bulbs for optimum light output.

thanks.
it says "plug & Play"
but it does NOT list any vehicles besides FeRdS.
how did it fit in the 06/07?

did it come with resistors to fool the "bulb out"
or does the lite stay on, on the dash?

does it run off the park lights, or off the headlights (in another thread, guy said the TIPM would stop supplying power if it felt voltage spikes in headlight circuit)

does it have High/Low beam,

and Lastly, does it FOCUS the beam and not blind everyone?

the last set of HID's i bought (for my 2004) just put out light EVERYWHERE.
like road signs over the highway were BRIGHT. but not so much on the road....and they KILLED truckers, i could them put their hand up in their side mirror when I passed them on driver side.

thanks, but I don't want to order something that causes more problems than it solves.

Talking my .02

Well, let me tell you what I think. I know my 95' is a diffrent light/lense than yours, but as you can imagine, my 95' lights were all foged out as they all do. After almost hitting a pig one early morning, I purchaced new lights. I went the HID way, but in a projector lens. The lens make's all the diffrence in the world. They take all that light that would go eveyware and focuses it where it needs to be. when I pull up to a wall, or garage door, there is a line of light/dark going horizontal. It has been the best non go fast part I have ever installed. plus I got the light and lenses, plug and play to my door for $300. I have had them for over two years now and still love them. "Everyone" that has seen them in action says holy cow or somthing to that extent, usually with a four letter word added in there. As far as beeing flashed back, it's only happened like two times in two years, and its probly my aiming/adjusment. Did I say I love them!
Spend the money once, buy it right.
fyi-I also installed HID's in my Excursion. They are not in a projector lense. wile they do perform better than o.e, there half as good as the projectors...And I did have the silverstars in before the HID's.

Contact Todd at Retro-Solutions and tell him what you have. He will send the correct harness with the load resistors to fake out the TIPM. It's all plug and play. Since I already had load resistors on hand I didn't need his modifications.

Bixenon is low and high beam. It's uses an internal magnet to move the bulb in and out of it's holder for brightness control.

The problem with the '03-05 trucks is the reflector design. Scatters light everywhere. I have that problem. The '06 and above doesn't have that issue. Much sharper cut off line.

Possibility you will need to adjust the headlights after installing the HID's. The same it true when changing bulbs too.

Personally I would stay away from the 55W HID's. All it's doing is overdriving the bulbs and decreases the life span. 35W has almost twice the lumen light output compared to the standard halogen bulb. It's plenty bright already.
