Headlight issues
Hey guys my Dad's 03 developed a problem today.
The highbeams are not staying on, If you hold the switch back they come on but as soon as you let go they go back to Low.
Any ideas? I hope it's not the multi-function switch as getting into the column looks like a PITA.
If it helps, There's 4 KC aftermarket Daylighters running off the high beam switch. Maybe these caused something to go bad like a fuse or a module?

Does the multi function switch click when going between low & hi beam? Chances are good that it is the multi function switch. They are very easy to replace, looks harder than it really is.
Do you at least have those lights running off a relay?
That is one heck of a lot of power to be drawing off the stock wiring if you are not using a relay. Check for melted/burned wires if you are not using a relay. Had that problem in my '93 dodge with higher than stock wattage headlights. Kept burning out the headlight switch and eventually the wiring...

It started working the day after the initial problem. now it stays and high beams work good.
The KC lights are on a relay and they are wired to their own seperate switches but the high beam switch on the column is the "turn on" to the relay.
In other words, the rocker switches for the KC lights have to be ON for them to come on with the high beam switch....but the high beam switch has to be on in order for the KC's to even come on at all. Get it? lol
