GPS Radio
The consensus of opinion from other posts I have seen on this topic is that the RB4 (which is the only one available from the factory) sucks while the RB1 is a bit better - at least the RB1 displays a map. They both fit in the dash and are plug compatible. For me, I'm saving up for the Pioneer AVIC-N1 which adds DVD player. camera input and other cool stuff.

I have the RB4, not real happy with it, just a arrow telling you which way to go. Very basic. I have the web site for the company that makes and sells the RB1 for the Dodge. Let me know if you want it.
NJMurvin, read on another thread that the screen on the Pioneer AVIC-N1 hits the dash board. Might want to check on this before you buy.
Good luck.

I have the RB1 and think its great. Lots of features and easy to read directions. Paid $1100.00 on EBAY. 5 min instal. Its a plug and play model. Just make sure you get the 6 cd changer. That is plug and play as well. ....Good luck
MrTraffic,
Any chance of you posting some pics? I'd sure like to see how it looks in the dash. Also, what color are the running lights in the AVIC? Did you get it to work with the steering wheel controls?
Thanks,
Neil
NJ will be ok with the AVIC, the screen can be moved in or out as well as tilted back and foward. I have it in my 2500 and works great.
Thanks,
Neil

Sry NJ I do not have a digital camara (was stolen at the Tallagada race earlier this year). The only draw back is the lights are blue not a real problem as you get used to them after awhile. Also I do not have the steering wheel controls. The dang user manual is about 130 pages long and I am still learning all the defaults LOL. If you have any other questions I will be glad to answer them.
Just checked ebay for the RB1. There are a bunch on there for about $750.00. Much cheaper now. I paid $1100.00 for mine when they first came out. They have some photos of it installed. Looks perfect inside the dash. You will not be disapointed

To you that have the AVIC, do you have it hooked up for the vehicle dynamics etc? What's invloved on the install. I just got a nice deal on a new one for $1,100. If the deal doesn't follow through. Pics, any info on the Pioneer would be appreciated! Thanks!

chrismez,
when you say plug and play for the cd changer do you mean that you don't have to find a power supply for the changer? does it just plug into the back of the RB 1 and it is powered by the radio?
sorry for the stupid question but i'm not very electronically inclined.

Yep, there is a slot in the rear of the RB1. it plugs in and your are ready to go.....i mounted mine under the back seat. Fits perfectly. You can find a chrysler plug and play cd changer on Ebay for about $150.00. If you are looking for a RB1, type in Dodge navigation on Ebay and a bunch will pop up.....
Hope this helps
