Hello everyone.... Another Newbie Here.

I am the current owner of a 02 F250 PSD - BUT am very seriously considering trading for a Dodge. My dealer has the one I want on the lot. It's a 2500 diesel Laramie 4x4 with just about everything. Sticker price is $45,810 (I will be paying 1% less than invoice though)

This question is on the GPS radio (two of 3 questions). Does anyone have a link to better info other than what is shown on the dodge website? It doesn't really tell you much. This truck has it and I wondered about how it operated / features.

My understanding is that the GPS radio that comes from DC in these trucks is the RB4. There is another model RB1 that most consider to be superior. There are numerous differences between the two models, but the difference that would keep me away from the RB4 is that fact that the display shows only driving "icons" and not a true map as the RB1 displays.

You can find these on ebay or order from the parts dept (more $$$$). I will be looking to install the Pioneer AVIC-N1 which, for not much more dinero, has superior features to both. As I see it so far, the only downside to the Pio is that it doesn't blend in as nicely as a DC model would and it won't integrate with the steering wheel controls.
