General Tires on 04.5 Dually

Just picked up my 04.5 dually; tires are Gerneal AmeriTrac TR 235/80R17. I did get the on/off road tires on this truck. The 2003 I traded in had the Goodyear tires. Does anybody else have General tires, and is anybody familiar with the AmeriTrac TR tire?

Picked up mine yesterday, same tires on mine. They look like an ok tire. At least it is good to know other manufactuers are coming on board with our awkward size tires and we will no longer be restricted to only one make.

Glad to hear that others are making the tires as well. I was not confortable leaving Goodyear with a monopoly on them. I have the same tires on my dual wheeled RV but in 16 inch. I don't have enough miles on it to judge if they are any good or not. At least now there are alternatives.

I guess time will tell how good they are. I have tried to do a search on AmeriTrac TR tires, I have found a mixed review. Of course this size is new and I can't even find them listed on General's site.

I think that I am fixing to go to a 265/70/17 in a Maxxis Buckshot Mudder. I can get these installed for $125 insted of the $190 something for the Goodyears.
