I've had it on my truck for almost 20,000 miles, and between the shifter and break-in, everyone who drives my truck RAVES about the shifting my truck! You won't regret it! Just make sure when other people drive your truck, they know where reverse is!

I take it that shifter will not work if i have an exhaust brake? I would have to mount it somewhere else?

i use my rig for hauling oilfield here and i think if you maybe change the way that you are shifting will help you alot

for me one thing i found that made the g56 shift smoother is not pushing in the clutch till i had actually let off the gas and already taken it out of gear
and then clutch in and into the next gear
I find that the wait time for the gate to open is alot less
and alot less tireing for those days when im stop go stop go stop go
