Fuel Tank ?

So I remember reading about the rubber cap to prevent debris from entering that DC forgot to put on. My question is which one is it. I have a rubber on the vertical piece but the there is a L shape deal and that doesn't have any rubber cap on it. Is this piece supposed to be covered as well?

if you're talking about the 1/8 inch barb fittings at the top of the tank, don't plug them. there will be a vacuum created in the tank and can cause stalling at approx. 1/2 tank. instead some guys have put small fuel filters on a short piece of hose instead.
