Front and rear bumper ideas

I'm looking to fabricate a set of bumpers. Some of you fellows have some killer ones installed on your truck. A big issue for me is shipping a whole bumper. I have a decent size garage and more than average metal fabrication tools(still no shear or brake). Usually all I need to see is a good picture and I can produce a pretty good product. I'm looking for ideas in a front bumper with a recessed winch mount and a rear that retains my class 5 factory hitch. Any ideas?

Yeah, fab'ing your own is really the only good option for those of us here in AK. Shipping a bumper is outrageous! I'll be buying a Ranch Hand or Buckstop in Oct, when I move to the lower 48...

Maybe this will help. I've been saving pictures for a while now, in hopes of finding some time to build one myself.

I liked certain aspects of each of these. Of course, building your own, you could include winch mounts, receivers, etc. where you liked. I like the steps built into the rear bumper in the last picture.

Not sure if you like pipe but heres mine. The rear bumper is a no brainer build a flat bed while you're at it.

tbarbee1, does your bumper tend to move side to side when riding on a rough highway or pot holes etc.? Mine does and it seems that it's not so much the bumper but the body mounts compressing more due to the weight. I wish I could find some aftermarket polyurethane body mounts for an 07'.

Perfect Troy thanks. If I had a brake and shear some of the pics enafzige has are pretty nice. However the pipe and diamond plate are a pretty forgiving combination to work with.

tbarbee1, where did you get your flatbed? Is it a short bed version and what is the model number. Looks great.
