Front End Issues

Lately I have been having this real ad squeeking noise in my front driver wheel, but it only happened when I turn and a partial turn if I cut it as far as I could it wouldnt happen. So I replaced the unit bearing, well it stopped doing it for a day, then it came back. So today out of nowwhere its gone, but now my brakes are squeeking a tiny it when I drive, like the caliper isnt releasing. Next I after some driving today, I developed a clunk in my steering wheel when I turn, no noise, but you can feel it in the wheel when you turn and can really feel it when you are turning the wheel back to go straight. So now Im lost. Any ideas??? I going to go nuts.

A Binding in steering wheel on turns??? Sounds like front U-Joints..Mine were bone dry and frozen up at 56,000 miles......I just felt a binding when turning like 4x4 on dry pavement type, but I was in MUD...about 2 inches on top of frozen ground due to warm temps..replaced both front axle U-joints with Spicers and problem gone AND got 1/2 - 1 mpg back that I had lost.

Yup,
Sounds like axle joints to me as well. Those are the same symptoms I had when my drivers side started freezing up at 44k. My passenger side started making a squealing sound when turning and when I jacked it up I had alot of play in the wheel. I originally thought that it was unit bearings but I sprayed some PB blaster on the u joint bearings caps and the noise went away for a little bit. It turns out that my ball joints are worn and my passenger axle joint is bad as well. Luckilly I have a few sets of Spicers on the shelf. Now if I can just get caught up with Carli ball joint backorders, maybe I can keep a set for myself.

I may just go ahead and do the Free Spin conversion while I am in there and be done with all of this nonsense.
