Fresh Wax and New Sneaks

Well Today after 5 long hours of buffing, glazing and waxing i finally got the rig looking right. Man i hate/love black. After the debadge there was some hazing around the removed emblem areas so that had to go. You can see that from old pics of the truck in my gallery. What fun. Tip for someone debadging, get the 3m adhesive remover wheel thing. Worked some slick. Pics of my new treads as well. Not super blingin', but they should work great for moving some snow this winter. Rims and tires come next summer.

Are those Good Year Manglers you have on there?

I hope they work out but I won't buy another after what they did to my second Gen, (pics in my gallery).

You think Goodyear is the only tire thats ever experienced a failure?

Ouch, checked his pics and that was some nasty carnage. I've had these tires before, and few other sets in the family as well. Had great luck. Although nothing the weight of the mighty cummins, but hoping for good performance. By your pics that was a different older tire so i'm betting my tire is built better.

Well they were definitely a different tire, they were stock size 10 ply 245 16's.

Had been on the truck for about 15 months and had 30 - 35,000 miles on them maybe?

Tread seperated completely and the case was still holding air.

It was bad!

Barly missed the fuel filler neck, crimpled the left box side, caused the truck to skid pretty good at Highway speed.

Not a lot of fun!

Like I said, the last "Mangler" for me.
