Does any one know if the Ford F-250 18" alum. rims will fit on a 2003 3500 4x4? I can't think of any reason they won't. By the way a friend is selling them for about $200.00 and the tires have 90% tread left. I just can't see buying tires for my 17" rims. I would like to eventually put 19.5" rims and tires on some time in the future, but this deal is hard to pass up.

 

I don't believe they will fit. The Dodge has a bolt pattern of 8x6.5 while the Ferd's pattern is 8x165.

 

I always thought that you could put the rims off of a ferd on either the dodge or the chev, but those two wouldn't fit on the ferd. Cause my eight lug 'steelies' would not fit on dads powerless-stroke, but his would fit on mine. But now he has a 'cli' max, and have never tried to put them on my gas guzzler.......But none of this may be true now that everything is getting so gawd awful huge. I didn't think I could ever get bigger than 16 inchers, but my T/A has 17" Firehawk rims. My dodge, thats a different story........

 

What Cynic said. When Ford went to the Superduty body in '99 (which included rear disc brakes) they changed the bolt pattern from 8 on 6.5" to 8 on 165mm to prevent people from trying to fit the older rims onto the new trucks and causing clearance problems with the rear discs.

 

It defianately will not be possible to fit the Ford wheels due to a different size lug pattern. These guys are right about that but the size of the ford wheels is actually 8x170mm and are also hub centric. In the years prior to 99 the ford wheels would work good. They were all the 8x6.5" pattern. The 8x165 pattern is also considered 8x6.5" as 165 mm comes out to 6.49 inches when converted. Good luck.

 

Thanks guys!, I couldn't find anyhting on this at first and I didn't want to hold my buddy up on selling them if they wouldn't fit. So much for ford's better ideas. They don't even make their own parts interchangeable. I should have known better.
