Fold Flat Floor Question...

I was wondering if any of you guys/gals have came up with anything to put on the fold flat floor to keep stuff from sliding all over the place? I would like it some how attached so it will still fold and always be there. I have only thought of the non slip stuff people use in tool boxes, cabinets and that kinda thing. Im open for any ideas, im just tired of everything sliding around. thanks all
Eric

I sold mine, but I heard line-x or rhino-linings helped out. Or you could get grip tape from a skateboard shop or ski shop and apply that to it.

I've got a 2" foam pad with a cover on it. But then I never use the back seat, but the chocolate lab loves it along with his own windows. Got to use the window lock because he always wants to power down the windows when it's cold or raining out.

thanks guys, i have thought about the line-x or rhino or just the cheap way and go and buy a can of the roll on bedliner stuff at walmart but wasn't sure if that would make a huge difference and if it would still close up flush. i do like the idea about the grip tape though.

tanker: i know what you mean, i put my dogs big pillow thing back there when shes with me and she never wants to leave it, nice big space for her, better than my old reg cab when she was crunched in the middle. shes a pembroke corgi

any other please feel free to jump in with ideas.

You can also get the spray in liner at napa. I used it to touch up my bed liner on my old truck before I got rid of it. It is textured & should work about $5.00 a can.

I have a great inexpensive fix.

I bought a small amount of non slip rubber padding used for entrance/oriental rugs on hardwood/slippery surfaces. It can be purchased at home cheapo and looks like checkerboard (meaning you can see through it) Its thin, durable, folds right up to nothing and stows under the seat. I just cut it to the same shape as the fold flat floor and when I need it..works great. I had problems with heavier items slide-slamming into the doors on corners.

Hope this helps. bc3

I purchased a house mat with a rubber backing. Nothing slides around. I roll it up and put it below the back seat (in that cavern there) Nothing slides around. Once in a while I take it out, shake off the dirt, and throw it back in.

When I bought my Dodge heavy rubber bed mat a couple of years ago, it came with a mat for the tailgait. I never used the tailgate mat. With both fold flats out it is perfect size cover. It makes the floor then non slippery, solid across door to door and you can't hurt that mat stuff. Works for me, I just throw it in the back and use when I need it.

Go to an RV dealership (or maybe even Walmart) and ask for a roll of the stuff that keeps items from sliding around inside RV cabinets. Yeah, I don't remember what it's called. It's a soft, rubbery mat that comes in rolls of different widths and colors. It's meant to be chopped up and used as cabinet liners.

I keep a length of it rolled up under the back seat. I roll it out when I take my dog in her crate along with me on trips. It keeps the crate (and the dog) from sliding around.

home cheapo had rolls of fish net stocking that was rubberized for tool boxes awhile back, like 2 x4 foot, up by service desk.

you could roll it up & toss in crack when not used.

i'd rather find BC3's stuff though, sounds good.

??

I used strips of 1" wide grip tape (like a skateboard deck). It works very well.

I sold mine on e-bay and replaced it with a big sub... But before that, I planned to line-x it.

I heard that the '06 model has flat carpeted fold out floors. Can anyone confirm this? I wonder how much they charge for the panels, if true.
