Fog lights/high beam

Is there a handy dandy little relay that we can jump like in the 2nd gen trucks to make the fog lights stay on with the high beams? I've looked in the service manual, and I recall seeing something about a relay in the engine compartment, but I looked in the fuse/relay box and didn't see one listed.

Anyone got any ideas?

I would like to know how to do this as well. I found the relay but the pins are all different from the 2001 that I had. Just need to figure out which pins to jumper. Anyone crack the code yet?

Which relay is it in the power distribution center in the engine compartment? If I can find it, I'll just start jumpering until they work, or I cook something.

Re:Fog lights/high beam

Okay guys why would you want a Fog light on with high beams- this causes a hot spot in front of the truck and impairs the ability to see distance with the high beams. PK

Re:Fog lights/high beam

LinearX - it is in the underhood relay center, it is labeled fog lamp or fog, you have to look through the diagram. I don't have the truck nearby today so I cant tell you offhand which exact one it is. You have alot more courage than I do to start jumping terminals, but I'm behind you 100%!! Let me know what you find. It made a ton of difference on my 2001, having the fogs on with the brights.

The high beams are fine, but I like being able to see the area in front of the truck as well.

It's called The Brite Box. You can get it Geno's Garage. It's a relay and harness that allows both beams to burn at once without smokin' the switch.

Tom

um...just a suggestion, but you may want to check into your state laws, because i know that is illegal in KY to run high beams and fog lights, one of my friends just recently got a ticket for it. you may be fine where you are from, and if not you probably wont get caught

I don't see why it's illegal if I'm not bright lighting anyone. Wouldn't the cop have to be in front of me to see it?

No one knows where many of these laws came from.
