First time I've noticed...

I don't know, maybe I just drink too much lol...but I am just ABOUT 100% positive that my truck lists slightly to the port side (leans to the left for all ya'll none Navy folks)...other people's trucks the same or should I head to the dealer?

This is off the wall... did you check the air pressure in the tires? Just popped in my head, had to say it.

Yeah I know...I was out there showing one of my buddies my Dodge Ram receiver (plugs into the trailer lights so when I brake you see the Ram light up) and noticed that the truck has a slight lean to the left...70 psi in the front 60 psi in the back...everything's good to go

there ARE a few times I should have skipped the drive through because it just isn't good for you, but being in the military, we have our "Regs"...I run 3 miles 5 days a week and lift 4...5'9" 181...not sure if my weight is the issue...especially when I'm NOT in the truck and am looking at it from the back?

Depending on if the truck is on level ground, how you drove it, the last bump you hit has a lot to do with how the suspension settles. I've had trucks that were on perfectly level ground lean to left by an inch one day and to the right the next. I always notice things like that. I go as far as doing a full walk around inspection looking for the "out of the ordinary" each time I get in the truck. Drives my wife nuts. If it bothers you enough I would take it to the dealer and have them check it out for peace of mind. Don't think anything is wrong though.

My 96 7.3 leaned too and there was a reason for it but can't remember what it was.

I had an old Chevy gasser that had listed to port, so I know what you're talking about.

Sometimes I have flashbacks and think other trucks are listing too, but really it's an optical illusion as created by the curved hood and having to sit on one side of it.

Have you measured the gap between your wheelwells and top of the tire?

Nope, but I will right now...only things that I can think of is that there are a few hundred pounds of fuel on that side of the truck...that and the fact that I am usually the only person in it...maybe that's why the driver's side of the truck has broken in like it has. It doesn't ride bad or anything...everything feels fine. I was just wondering what other folks were seeing when looking at their trucks from the back

Driver's side front from the top of the tire to the bottom of the wheel well is 9 1/2", Passenger's side front 10", Driver's side rear is 11 1/2, Passenger's side rear is 12...looks like we're seeing about a half inch of list to port. And like I said, only thing I can think of is the fuel tank being the cause. 34 gallons x approx 8lbs per gallon = 272lbs that isn't on one side...ya'll think that's it? Might only be a half inch, but if you look at it, it's pretty noticable

Fuel and driver weight "settling" the spring a bit more. Happens on a LOT of vehicles.

At least on the cheys with torsion bars (1988-?) you could adjust them to level things out. Had to do that on my '96. Sold that one in order to buy my CTD, no regrets.

That's GOTTA be it!!! Also, when the earth spins and it's San Diego's turn to be upside down, wonder why we don't fall off into outerspace?
