WOW! I didn't know the front end changed the rims too!

Looks very good. Any big troubles in doing the swap?

Looks GOOD. But then, I'm partial to the 06 front end. Nice upgrade. I like the rims too.

Looks great!

Whats involved in doing this swap?

I know you need a grill, bumper, headlights, fenders and what else? I assume there are headlight mounts of some kind? Do the fenders just unbolt?

Does everything just bolt up or is fabrication required?

Sure would be nice to make my 03 look like an 09

lol the frontend just highlighted the wheels rockcrawler...lol
thanks for the compliment cd in nm but they are just overly cleaned stock simulators

to glennrmk,
no big troubles really just lack of knowledge cost me some time. I found out in the middle of the swap that the headlight bulbs were different.. bulbs i the 05 and down are 9004s and bulbs int the 06 and up are 9007's that and the the newer grille shell also needs a support the 05 down will not interchange. them two things cost me a trip back to the salvage. but time wise other than that it only took about 4 hours. it probably would have been less than that if i would have bought oe fenders...lol. the only fab work i had to do really cannot be called fab work...lol. i had to trim the air inlet behind the headlight to fit the right headlight in. as far as bolt up its 100 percent bolt on. no welding or cutting metal. and price wise me doing the install was well under a 1000 dollars, but i had a buddy paint it so there was no labor in paint just materials used. upgrading to a 09 frontend will be the same as what i did...just liked the fact the 06 lights were only used one year and the had extra marker lamps

Im looking into doing this on my 05. What bumper is that you put on? I've seen some 06s with a solid color front. I like yours better. What about those bulbs? Just switch them and that's it?

Did you wreck the original front end or just wanted the new look?
Looks good, I like the 07 headlights better though, don't like that yellow stip og my 06 headlights.

gilbert,

Looks good. Do the headlights work better than the '03s? Brighter?

I agree with you, so I decided to just swap the whole headlight assemblies. After I got tired of calling pick and pulls for wrecked 07 and up dodges with intact headlights, I just bought them off Amazon. Dealer wanted over $200 each so I guess these were a good deal at $100 each.
