Finally found the right one.
Finally found the right one.
Hi all,
I finally found a 5.9, 6spd that I wanted.
After reading up on the 6.7 for the last 2 weeks I decided to go with a 5.9 if the dealer could find me one. Although I wanted a Mega, I'm more that happy with my quad. As a bounus when it arrived at the dealership we discovered that the other dealer had put a exhaust brake and wheel liners on.
I figured I could use em.
This is my first cummins. Any words of wisdom are welcomed.
Thanks
Andy

Congrats!
- Stay in the forums, learn as much about your truck as you can.
- Keep up the maintenance, i.e., oil change, fuel filter replacements, grease front driveshaft, fuel additive, don't run fuel level too low, get gauges - fuel pressure gauge is a must!
Good luck, I think you will really enjoy your truck.
One last thing, use good common sense when it comes to modding your truck. You can easily void your warranty, and high horsepower mods can blow your tranny or transfer case real fast. Just be aware that mods can be costly in terms of reliability, additional expenses. Read thru the different forums, you will see what I mean!
