Finally Found One.....and Got It!
I've been looking for over a year for a descent 12V CC 4x4 5 speed truck. Well I found one last month and bought it, and just got it last night. I have had 2 first gen trucks, and a 24V truck, but never a 12V P-pump truck. All I can say is WOW! I love it! Even though it's all stock, it really runs great! Alot more throttle responsive than my 1st gen's or 24V. This one's a 96, with NO RUST at all! That was one of the things I was really looking for. Also, 3.55 gears was a must too. This truck is just an ST, and has manual windows, locks, mirrors, etc. As long as it had cruise, tilt, and AC, that's all I needed. I 've had a number of trucks, but I think this one is gonig to be with me for a long time. Only 145K miles on this one, so alot of life left in it. New tires, aftermarket wheels, and I don't have any payments to make! Now I can spend some $ on some other goodies, like injectors, turbo, clutch, & stacks! Now, just have to get rid of my 1st gen.

yeah, I just about gave up and actally looked at a 99 a couple of months ago. It was really clean, and no rust, but had previosly had some front end damage. Looked to be fixed right, but they werwe asking $11,500 for it. I really didn't want a 24V truck again, and had my heart sert on a P-pump truck this time around. Bought this truck for $7K. Don't think I did too bad on it. Here's a picture of it.

Yeah, it seems weird not to have power windows, as it's been at least 14 years since I've had a truck without them. But no big deal, just more to spend & fix when it goes bad with the power stuff. I didn't care much for the green at first, but it's been growing on me since I picked the truck up yesterday. It's not the emerald green that is the one that you see on just about all green 2nd gen trucks. This was called "Mossy Green" I think , and it's more of an olive green. I think I'll like it more as I go. I've never had a 2 tone truck either, but the driftwood sets the green off good. The ST is kind of nice without the beltline moldings, which look lind of tacky. The paint needs a little shining up, but NO RUST! That's my reason for buying it. I can fix alot of little things, but once the rust starts, it's a bad thing.
Yes, my 1st gen is for sale. I'm not going to deny that I put an ad for it in the classified section. I just needed to switch to something with a full back seat (2 & 4 year old boys) and even though a quad cab would be ideal, I just couldn't find a 12V QC Long box 5 speed that I liked or was priced right. I can live with the club cab for quite some time. Plus, call me crazy, but I like the dash & interior on the 94-97 better than the 98-02. I hd a 98 gasser and 99 3500 24V, and I HATED the seats in both trucks. They werew the most uncomfortable things to me. Had a 96 gasser too and really liked the seats in that one. Guess I'm a 12V P-Pump guy for a long time to come, as I'm not spending $40-50K for a new truck. The old 12V will just have to work for awhile.

nice truck good deal, looks like my truck i picked up almost a year ago...except mine was 7500 with a fisher v-plow and only 104k and an auto and i have 4.10's and brand new 285's on it. but im putting 35's on soon anyways so the 4.10's won't be bad.
