Filled full!!!

I always try to fill up the 05 to the top. You all know what that is like with no vent. I just tried the following and worked like a charm

1 fill as far as you can
2 let foam drop for about 30 sec
3 tilt filler nozzle about 50-60 degrees so the foam has time to leave it IN the filler nozzle. The only thing that comes out is non foamy fuel.

I did this with no mess, and finally got it full. you will not be able to fill full speed, but at least much faster.

Good suggestion about keeping the nozzle at 50 degrees. I filled my truck up Sunday and to get rid of the foam I shook the truck back and forth. Seemed to work, but I will have to try your way.

I've never understood what everyone's complainat about the truck's taking soo long to fill up.

I've never had a problem. Fill it up till the nozzel stops, I pull it out some, fill it up till it clicks again and I drive away with my fuel tank on "E"

I would love the vent, but I dont think the work is in my ability range, and I really dont want to spend the time. Too many things going on.

while I usually do what you do...on a trip i fill'er to da top as I go about 160+- miles BEFOREthe needle comes off of E...less stops on the trips that I take (calif to Weatherford Texas) almost one less tankfull each way on that trip when I fill it to the brim ....my two cents

"E" does not stand for "Enough".................Maybe you're thinking "F"???
