I think mine was off a solid 2 weeks or so. I had kind of an oddball combination of options though, no fog lights or rear slider. Don't know if that made a difference or not.

Mine didn't get here until 4 weeks after the estimated ship date. Worth the wait, but drives ya nuts anyways.

I heard there is a rail strike and delivery will be delayed 3-4 months.

Congrats on the new truck.

whats the matter? don't the lots have them by you??? shoot I stopped by the dealer i bought mine from and there had to be 10 - 15 trucks wearing the big "C" on the side. Just as many as when I bought mine. Or is off the lot too much like shopping off the rack for you?

Ordered mine in November (around the 12th) showed up Jan 11th, it was right at 9 weeks on the money. Trust me dealer said 8 weeks, I was on the phone 5-9 times a day after 8 weeks wanting to know where the truck was...

Heard the same thing, trains go on strike, no trucks for around 6 months, you may have to go down there and drive it back.

What i've been able to find out is that for the southwest, it takes 9-12 days for the vehicle to reach the rail head, then another day or 2 to get it to the dealer. That would be accurate for AZ/CA.

I'm wiating for mine to get to the dealer, so they can prep it & install the jake. The truck supposedly shipped 3/1....that should put it here any time now.

My issue is that a buddy is buying my '97 F150 on Saturday, so I'll be truck-less. The dealer has not been overly helpful. All I can find out from them is that it is on a rail car. No date for delivery at the dealer. Productin control these days is EXTREMELY scientific. Anyone know if DC is intentionally keeping the dealers in the dark? Or, am I dealing with the typical ingorant salesman?

In that case it's not DC or the dealer that's causing the problem. It's the railroad that has the car, which you being west of the Mississippi River, means Union Pacific. Which means the car PROBABLY will actually arrive someday. Their method of running trains leaves something to be desired, I've often seen it take 24 hrs. to get 1 train 200 miles. Rail is the slowest form of transportation in the Western world, but it's also the cheapest.

Call DC at 1-800-992-1997, dial 6, then 2, then 1. They should be able to give you a rail car # if it's been shipped. Or call the salesman, I've heard they have better information. Go to http://c01.my.uprr.com/pet/motorVehicleTrace.jsp and enter the series of letters and numbers to track the rail car.

jrogers, I ordered it on 1/24.

Just got off the phone with the dealer. They are telling me it is in Sagerton, TX with an estimated arrival date of 3/22. I asked him for the VIN, but he couldn't find it. I'm supposed to get a call tomorrow. We'll see.

I'll also call DC in the morning, to see what they say.

Thanks!

Tony

I ordered mine 2/25 got the VON the same day. On 2/28 it went D status and 3/1 it went DI and I got the VIN. They are saying it should be shipped on 3/15 and the dealer expects it to hit his lot on 3/25-3/28. This would be amazing....but I think it is a bit of wishfull thinking. It helps when your salesperson is the fleet manager though.........

I wonder if weird options slow it down? I ordered one late last week, I think it was. It has power seat, power adj pedals...and rubber floor covering. Go figure. I don't much care how long it takes, as girlfriend and I need to unload her '05 hemi to make way for the diesel.
