Question Electrical? - Should I be worried???

I have a 2004.5 Ram 3500, all stock except for a Quadzilla box and had the factory EVSII alarm added. Never had a problem or anything "weird" happen before.

Today, while unlocking my door through my OEM remote, my windshield wipers took a swipe! The only things that were actually turned on were the radio and fan. Wiper switch was completely off and I couldn't get it to repeat. What the heck happened?

You can almost completely rule out the Quad box......I believe I read on here somewhere about a factory alarm causing some really screwy issues. See if there is a way to disarm it and time will tell.

Mine does the same thing about once a year, maybe just wants a little exercise since they don't get used much here in the desert! I just write it off as one of those quirky things our trucks do.

Thumbs up

Thanks. I've had the truck for almost 6 years and that's the first time I noticed anything "weird". But after all that time, seeing the wipers do a cycle when you simply press a button to unlock the door makes one question their vision and sanity.

Good point! I don't remember if/when I may have changed the batteries, but will check.

Thanks.
