Should I be worried?

Question Should I be worried?

So I'm getting the engine compartment cleaned up (and still looking for that elusive jack mounting location dang it ) and I notice that where the intercooler pipe goes to the intercooler is a bit oil soaked. Don't think it's from the front main seal 'cause it's not inline with the seal and there's no oil anywhere else in on the fenders, etc.
I also noticed that on the outside of the A/C condenser there's a lot of caked oil residue on the right side about the middle of the coil but there's no evidence of it coming from anywhere in the front which makes me wonder if it's coming from behind, like from the intercooler?
Are the intercoolers prone to leakage?

Thanks,
Mike

Are you losing freon? It could be the A/C oil you're seeing.

My jack mounts just under and to the left of the radiator if you're standing in front of the truck facing the grill.

Is it residue from the vent on the radiator overflow bottle? That antifreeze can look very oily -- and my truck has goo on the AC plumbing where it passes by the bottle.

If you are really worried, take the pipe off the turbo compressor outlet -- it is possible that you have a bad oil seal in your compressor, and eventually that would cause a run-away condition (the engine will run on the oil leaking out of the turbo).

Probably not the case, but it is not too hard to check.
