EGR Fender Flares

I'm considering having fender flares installed to add a little custom styling and to help protect the side of the truck from mud and rocks. I talked to the local truck accessories dealer today and they suggested to stay away from the Bushwacker's. He suggested using EGR flares. He stated that the Bushwacker's don't adhere to the side of the body along the top edge of the flares. He said that I would notice a gap along the top and they tend to warp during high temp days I guess the EGR's have a 3M tape strip along the top edge to keep them from warping and gapping. Any insight on this? Does anyone have pictures to share of fender flares on their 2003. Any help on the topic would be appreciated. I don't want to spend the money to purchase/paint/install, then be disappointed.

Yeah, I can't forsee any big problems with the Bushwacker's. Just shopping around...I had the Wacker's on my Chev and they looked/performed fine. I too have a two-tone paint job (white w/silver on the bottom) and plan to paint the flares silver. I plan on adding some flat hard rubber flaps as well. Still haven't decided what I want, but saw some cool ones on the cummins web site. They have the Cummins/Ram logos on them. The Mopar flat oversized flaps also look good with the silver Ram logo.

I've had Bushwacker's on the last 3 trucks and have not noticed the problems described. I wouldn’t hesitate using them again.
