Dually Fenders -design Disaster
Dually Fenders -design Disaster
The fenders are a chipped up mess on my new Mega Dually after only 5,000 miles. The front tires throw everything against them becasue they stick straight out. I put Husky mud flaps on with no help. I had a 02 Dodge dually and an 03 short bed Ford dually and this new Mega cab has more chips than both of the older trucks comined. I love my Mega Dually but this is making me sick

I used 3M on 2 trucks and 2 cars so far, works great comes in 8mil for hoods fenders bumpers etc. For headlights 40mil. Also did my quad fenders so they wouldn't get scratched. 20mil would most likely be a good thickness for your fenders and bottom part of your doors/rockers. Google 3M Scotchguard or X-pel for your area and you should find a dealer. It is tough stuff and works great. Hope this helps.

I have the same problem with my Mega. I was thinking doing what rockcrawler posted. I know older Chevys had that on there fenders. Only problem I saw with them as after a few year they would discolor and become visible. I am going to put nerf bars (sp) on my mine hope that helps.

wrm sorry to hear that your new mega is getting beat up like that. I know when I first got my 05 I got a few small chips on mine because of the gravel that we live on. Made me want to not drive it. As for durability the old truck is a 93. Has not yellowed, in fact thats the only part of the truck where the paint looks like the original color. The rest is faded from the sun. And no I don't have shares in the company lol. If you give it a try post back and let me know what you think.
With all that $$$$ tied up in a truck you want to keep it perrty for a long time lol.
