I've searched some on here but don't find my situation.

This just started tonight.

2003 2500 quad cab.

When traveling above about 15 mph the door ajar light flashes, the chime sounds and the interior lights turn on. If I slow in anyway including the slightest amount things turn off, speed up at all and back on it all comes. The doors are all shut and all the lights and chimes are off when stopped or below 15 mph . Almost seems like it maybe related to the auto locks . Rear door lock on left doesn't lock electrically ( been that way for sometime), interior light on the right rear comes on and almost as quickly goes off with door open..

Thanks in advance for any help! The chime is driving me nuts!

 

Open up that rear door, pull the wire loom off (rubber boot in the middle of the door.)

I bet you'll find some broken wires there. Some butt splices and some tape will do it for you.

Wow how did you manage to get all those butt connectors back into the rubber conduit.

 

Couple of beers, some electrical tape... wasn't hard at all. They were mildly staggered, too.

(and I had already had about 12 in me before I started this one...)
