Front axle sticks out 3/4" more than the rear on the drivers side. Could this be from the previous owner leveling and not having it aligned or a track bar issue?

trucks pulls pretty hard on the highway in the hammer lane, like the road crown is horrible. Thanks for any insight.

 

First look at wheels for different offsets. A truck frame shop would be best choice for inspection/diagnois. Raising with non compensated track bar would make things wrong.

 

go under your truck ... find two spots front and back (ie motor mount or something else on the frame) make sure you use corresponding positions on both sides. measure left front to right rear and rf to lr . the number should be the same. if not your frame is not square...also measure your axles corner to corner as well to see if just your drive axels are out...always use the same path for measuring if you go over the drive shaft one way go over the drive shft the other way. this will take two people or one person and good magnet

 

Also if it has been in an accident the cab might be off. If your front bumper is to one side more than the other you might have to loosen your cab bolts and even it out.

 

I leveled my 04 and have not had any noticeable issues with that

 

If it's been leveled the diff WILL be off center slightly for sure.

 

Perfectly normal if a leveling kit is installed. The only remedy is to install an adjustable track bar.

So I know if you level without a track bar the front diff will be off-center, does the truck actually dog track (as in go down the road sideways) without the track bar? (that would drive me crazy)

 

When properly aligned your truck should steer true. I have had my leveling kit installed since new and have had only a very slight pull to the right. I don't know if a adjustable track bar would help or not.

I dont have any pulling issues. There is something else causing that.

 

just on the highway in the hammer lane, it pull's pretty good to the left. When behind the truck you can really notice the front left tire is sticking out quite a bit more than the rear.

it would make sense that the front diff would be off center as your raising the front of the truck so the torque arm attatched to the frame it self will move up pushing the axle out. I went through this truck from top to bottom and it has not been in an accident. Gonna take some time on the weekend to take a few measurements.
