Do I need drop blocks or extended end links?
Do I need drop blocks or extended end links?
I just put the level kit on about a month ago and was curious to know if I should add drop blocks or extended end links? I have been happy with the ride to this point (knock on wood), no DW so I am worried if I go in and change something more it may introduce the shakes. What are the advantages of both, which is better, and what will happen if I choose to leave it as is? Thanks for the input.
From a suspension design standpoint, the extended links are better...
Ideally you want as little bind as possible, and the shorter the links are, the more they bind.
The stock links are garbage too, so may as well upgrade..

Sean Lorenz has both endlinks and drop blocks. I went the dropblock route and am very happy. www.lorenzindustries.com
FWIW, I'm not running drop brackets or extended links on my rig and it's fine with a leveling kit. I've got a fairly heavy front bumper though, so I only netted about 1.75" from the new coils.
If you're going to replace them, I'd get longer ones vs drop brackets personally.
Before.

After.
