Question DiProcol EGT Gauge install Question

Hi, just a quick question regarding hooking up the wires to lamp and/or LED illumincation wires.

I know to connect it to the orange wire with a white line.
but am I to connect both the lamp and LED to the same wire? Or is the lamp just there as an option?
Installation instructions are vague.
Thanks.
Boss

Both LED and LAMP install to the same wire behind the headlight switch. Take a test light tofind the correct wire. The color in the instructions was wrong...I think it is right for 03 but not for 04. Takes just a couple more seconds to find the correct dimming 12V....

See my post in the aftermarket section ("gauge install").

THis is the problem we ran into on Saturday. We ended up connecting right into the fusebox under the hood. Are are about a ZILLION wires behind the headlamp switch.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

But did you hook up both LED and Lamp to the fuse or just one of them?

I called GENO'S and ask the same thing.
They said you need to hook up BOTH to get correct lighting.

I installed mine today, but have not hooked up lamps yet.

Does anyone know which wire it is for the 04'?, since there isn't a orange/white wire.

Boss,

If you stick your head under the dash down by the pedals you will see a small loom of 5 or 6 wires coming down from the headlight switch. Two will be orange w/ a brown stripe , so use a test light like cquestad mentioned to find the right one. Tap both the led and light wire (along with light wires from the other gauges) into this wire.

Boss,

Wire the two sets of wires for lighting together. You want to do this because these gauges have different lights for different colors - they match stock and look great at night.

I pulled the light switch cover off - this is very easy to do. You want to do this because it narrows down the number of wires you need to test, and they will be very accessible. You will need a tester because there are two wires the same color sceme. I do believe they were orange w/ brown stripe (not positive - I did mine a couple months ago) It is not the orange w/ white stipe for the 04.

Yes, they are both orange with brown tracer. One is gauge lights, and the other is for the dome light. I hooked mine up last night.

Just installed a DI-Pricol Pyro yesterday. I too wired the lamp and LED lamps into the orange/white tracer wire coming off of the headlight switch.

It dims nicely with the stock gauges.
