Diese wiring question (fog lamps)
Here is some feedback on Mopar fog lamps add ons....
Great kit, piece of cake to install but i need to know something..
Head light leads are White/ green (WG), Black/ Blue (B/B), and White/ Blue (W/B)
The (W/B) is the headlamp common that runs to to Violet wire to switch, thus allowing power to fog lamps only when lights are on.
Here is my question:
How can i get power to my fog light switch when just the marker lights are on? I can move the violet lead from the lamp kit over to another power source but i have a burned out bulb in my test light and a house full of napping children and cannot run out today.
Does anyone know if i can move that violet lead to the marker light common so my lamps will work as long as my parking lights are on? Here are my options on the marker light side of the drivers side head lamp assembly.
white green, white yellow, brown/ black (marker lights)
Thanks guys

I just installed fog lights on my truck. If you look at your fuse panel you might find the fog light system is pre-wired, mine was, so I ordered the light harness and the lamp switch all of which were direct plug and play. Look on the left hand side where the fog light is mounted there should be a square plug.
I also very recently installed fog lights on my truck. Fuse and relay were there, so I ordered the jumper wire (56045501AC) and the factory replacement headlight switch (56045537AC) and they were good to go. With this configuration, you can turn the marker lights on and then pull the switch to engage the fog lights while the headlights are still off.
Also, I'm beta testing the new brite box which engages your low beams and fog lights along with the high beams any time the high beams are on. I LOVE this thing and they should hit the market soon. With the combination of that and aiming my headlights slightly higher since I don't tow, I no longer have to worry about not being able to see deer. Highly recommended IMHO.
By the way -- Those two parts that I listed earlier ran me $55 at a dealer. I didn't have to run anything through the firewall and didn't have to use any wiring fuse, relay, etc from the mopar kit.
Here's a pic of the brite box with all beams on:

I think I used an image tag to pull the pic from a server instead of actually uploading a small one.
The Mopar fog lights were ordered from a dealer for $135.70. My local dealer quoted me almost $300, so I had Steve White Motors in Hickory, NC ship them to me. The savings from the out of state sale (no sales tax) made up for the shipping plus I saved a bunch of money.
