Dashboard Warning Light issue...

Searched/read several past posts reporting similar issues, but didn't find much recently posted and was wondering if there's been anyone else encountering this.

Over the past several months, I'd notice weird things on the dashboard like a flashing square box that indicates the gear you're in (automatic) or a very quick illumination of the engine warning light, or sometimes other warning lights. Nothing ever stays on for long and could not recreate it for the service department.

As of a few days ago, all lights and instrumentation are going off/on, etc. Service department confirmed nothing wrong with motor, etc. and tried flashing the computer. Problem still persists and now they want to start with the dashboard itself.

Problem now starts a few minutes into every time I take it out. No noticeable motor problems, etc.

Anyone experience something similar?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to DTR.

Truck info is always helpful...
Just because a Thread is older, Doesn't mean its not right...

Try cleaning all the Battery connections, including the Grounds where they hook to frame and block...

Some 06 model year trucks had gage cluster problems. I think the only fix was to replace the entire cluster...hopefully under warranty.

The "check Guages" light has briefly illuminated on mine since new. Nothing ever wrong, and it has never thrown a code. Sometimes there will be a chiming sound, sometimes not.

Thanks for the input guys. The service department wants the truck for a few days this week, but they believe it's the cluster. Unfortunately, my 2003 is out of warranty so the jury is out on the $$$. thanks again guys.

I can not get the brake warning light to go out. It will go out if I unplug the fluid level sensor on the resivor. I replaced the sensor and cleaned the resivor and it is still lite. any suggestion?
