I'm trying to put my Prodigy in the console below my A/C contols. I have the jacked up cup holder around the manual 4WD lever. I can't figure out how to get the vertical panel in front of the drink holder out to inspect what is behind the pocket I need to cut. A metal brace and the blower box keep me from getting my meat hooks in from the backside...suggestions?
You should have a three position cupholder, is this correct? If so pull out the rubber holder part. This will expose three 8mm headed bolts that go into the floor. Also pry up the back of the 4wd lever boot to expose the fourth. The rearmost half will come out of the way. The front half is held in by two screws that run straight into the dash. Once that is out of the way you should see two more screws that hold the lower bezel to the dash frame. With those out of the way the panel will lower out of the way. The entire center dash bezel from the top of the dash to the bottom, comes off as one piece. Hope this helps. An '07 is alot more complicated than 02-05 models where you remove one screw and pull the bezel free. Hope this helps some.

Hey Oldmike,
I was looking at your picture of the Prodegy install. It looks level in the pocket. My Prodegy has to be at an angle to work. Is your newer technology?
I agree with your signature.

Hey FISHERGUY,
'Fraid so. The good side is that Chrysler is the best American manufacturer when it comes to interior stuff. I've had the dashes out of all of my trucks(not just for fun) and have never had a squeak or broke something. No rattles either. Their materials may appear cheap but they are made well.

Yah, the little clips they use hold well, maybe TOO well!
There's probably a tool that's made for taking off interior piece that won't put a dent in the panel beside it, something a little better than a screwdriver¿

They have what's called a "trimstick", which is to me a plastic screwdiver with the ends bent slighty. I know what you mean about the opposite piece. Someone had the center bezel out of my truck before I was the owner. It is very obvious to see where he pried. 05 and earlier that would have worked. Now everything unscrews. NICE!

Hey Pete I bought the controller used so it is probably not new technology. I thought I read on the Tekonsha site that level to 70 degrees was good, anything past that would result in a bar display. It worked fine but that is just where I temporarily velcroed it. The pocket I want to put it in is the one above it. Fits perfect, just need to knock a hole in the back of the pocket and reroute the wires.
