I have an 04 quad cab. The dashboard light behind the thermostat and fan ***** has burned out. What is the best/easiest way to get into it to replace the bulb?

 

I used a paint stir stick to pop the trim off from around the area. Unscrew the bracket and use a small plain tip screwdriver to "untwist" the bad bulb and reverse the procedure for re-installation.

 

Do you know if the bulbs behind the instrument cluster (speedo, rpm, ect) use the same bulbs as behind the ac/heat controls?

 

Yes, the bulbs are all the same. When I got mine they were still dealer only. Maybe someone has info on the possibility of aftermarket, however I believe I only paid like 4 bucks a piece for mine from the ***********.
