cracked dually fender
cracked dually fender
On my truck, I turned to sharp and hit the trailer while backing. I cracked the fiberglass on the rear portion of the drivers side fender. It is about 10" long. Can these be patched up at a body shop or do you need to get a new fender? Wondering if a body shop will fix this for a REASONABLE price.
wish you were closer i would do it for you. pretty simple to fix. go to an automotive store and get a can of fiberglass resin and a package of fiberglas matting.
follow instustions on resin can and mix with activater. with a paint brush , lay a large enough piece of mat to cover the crack (extend a couple inches past the crack all away around) onto a piece of cardboard. saturate the glass with the resin mixture.
place the saturated mat over the crack (on the INSIDE) of the fender and brush it in good as to get air bubbles from between the mat and the fender.
