Mine's got it too. There were many others on here with the same problem. Geno's garage has a replacement that goes over the top of the dash. Good luck

Texas heat, mine "sprang" a crack 2 weeks ago about 10" long. Really disappointed, the interior of my truck was perfect until then. I have no answers to your questions just empathy.

Just out of curiosity, have you used armor all. Been some discussion a while back linking armor all and the cracked dashboard.

I know they made a "fill in" putty for the cracks, but I can't verify how good it actually worked.

Don't use armor all on the dash. It causes cracks and looks trashy anyways.
This stuff works great and makes it look like it did when it came off the lot: http://sonus-usa.com/son-620.html

X2
That is usually the very first thing I buy. (Then tint the windows) Living in the desert here it gets extremely hot, and in the 20 years I have been here I have never had a cracked dash. It is much easier and cheaper to replace a faded dash mat every 5 years or so than to replace a cracked dash.

I had the dash in my 01 crack and I never used armor all on it due to hearing for years and years that if you quit using it your dash will crack. Now I have used armor all on the dash in my 02, and it's still in perfect shape. I don't use armor all anymore on it, as I prefer meguiars, but I'm not sure I buy into the whole armor all theory.

Guy measured the temp on the dash in the sun with and without armor all on it (one side with it, one side without it). The side with armor all was much hotter than the side without it. Hence the reason I think armor all has something to do with pre-mature cracking of the dashes...

Yep, mine has cracked, in the same place as all the others, have the 100k warranty but it's not covered. Water bottles and bags last 10 thousand years and a dash cant last 5. I think they know exactly what they are doing when they make these things and know what will fail because it is designed to fail. I could rant here but you've all herd it before. I just have to patch and cover it. What has worked the best? Will the cracks hurt other parts of the dash?

Mine is also cracked, dealer offered a deal of $400 to replace it. Unless someone has a real good reason why I should, I think I'll just JB weld it and cover it with a top quality dash cover and foreget it. Any thoughts or suggestions?
