I posted my ATR experience in another thread.

I bought 4 ATR's when I bought my truck, I had a flat lat May on our first fishing trip of the year, pulled over right away and put the spare on. Took the flat to a tire store who told me the sidewalls of the tire were shot. I paid a ridiculous amount for a 265 Goodrich like the truck came with just so I had a spare.
When I got home I bought 2 new 285 ATR's for the rear, put the most worn spare on my spare wheel so I it's the same size.
Last trip of the year I get a flat, pull over right away to change it, go to a Cooper Dealer in Kamloops who tells me the sidewall of the tire with less than 5000 km's on it is shot and I need a new tire. Luckily this guy is a good **** and he sells me a slightly used 285 Cooper AtR for a great price.

So, overall I'm not impressed, the front tires have about 50k kms on them and will need replacing within a year.
Maybe it's my fault for buying 8 plies (I don't think so though) but I'm not impressed with the siewalls of these things, my advice would be to stay away!

I had 2 of the 5 start to separate at the bead with 10K on them. They were STT's though.

I've been looking into The Zeon LTZ's for my 20's, but they don't really make any sizes I like. I was steered this way by a few other members here. I'll probably try them anyways just because they're so cheap, but I'm not expecting much. I do know one other member on here for sure likes his Coopers (it's megacabdad).

Other than the responses in this post, I haven't heard a lot of negative about Cooper tires?

Shawn

I have the ATR's on my 94, about 30,000 miles for far, good ride, no noise, good traction in snow, my last set of Cooper AT's lasted 63,000, the set of cooper AT's before that lasted about 50k.

I've had really good luck with coopers.

Yep...

I run the ATR's in a 315/70/17.

The only thing I don't like about them is they're D rated, and with my heavy truck and a load there is some sidewall flex, but I've never had a problem with them...

Over 20K on them, and probably 55% tread left.

They ride a lot softer than the Toyo's I run in the winter, but the Toyo's steer better and the truck seems to have more power with the thinner tires. A lot less sidewall flex, also.

I've had Cooper's on at least 5 different vehicle, and can't say anything bad about them...like xtoyz17 said, they are economically priced.

Im running the 315 ATR's on my rig as well. I have nothing bad to say about them, for the money, you cant go wrong. Got about 40,000miles on them, and probably got 10k left.

Thanks for all the feedback. I think I will stay away from Cooper tires. I think I'm going to go with Hankook ATM RF 10. I have heard and read good reviews about them.

I use to sell Coopers and I use Coopers. The Discoverer S/T is one heck of a tire. The ATR issues should be solved by now. Overall I would recommend them. Check the date code to make sure you don't get an old one.
