Cooper Discoverer S/T Load Range E
Cooper Discoverer S/T Load Range E
It looks like Cooper is offering two 17in load range E tires in their 'Discoverer S/T' series; an LT245/70R17, and an LT265/70R17. It looks like a studdable 'light' mud tire or 'heavy' all terrain, and is the first studdable 17in load range E that I've seen. Anyone have experience these tires ?
We sell them but we sell more Discoverer A/Ts and M/S which are also studdable but soft with alot of sipes so their life is shorter.I like the A/T which are alittle less aggressive and quiet. But if a aggressive good traction Highway and mud tire is what you want the the S/T will make you happy. The Cooper line has the best tire warranty out there also.
I have been wating on the S/T from Cooper so I could get a good all-around tire. This may prompt me to get rid of my BFG mt's. I have ran several diffirent sets of Cooper tires mostly the STT radial which is the MT, always had good luck with them
I ran cooper tires on my last truck with great success. I was happy with performance as well as wear. I have been waiting to hear that they were making 17" tires. Now all I need to wait for is a 285/70/17. I just think those 265's look so small on these trucks. I might still go with them if they don't go any bigger by the time I need new tires.

I've been running the S/T Coopers for years. I've had and worn out many sets. These have been, over and over, the best all-terrain aggressive tires I have ever owned. I will continue to purchase the S/T tires to replace the ones I have now. They wear well, and give me just enough tire noise to tell me that I have real meats on the truck. I like that.
