Converting '06 headlight to '07 design...

I noticed the '07 headlights don't have the horizontal amber "band" across the bottom of the headlight housing. I prefer the cleaner look of the '07 and was wondering if anyone knew a way make an '06 look like an '07.

I imagine changing out the entire assembly is one way but I imagine is pretty pricey. Anybody know the price?

Thoughts?

TIA

if you put your whole headlight assembly in the oven 250*-300* you can heat the glue up enough to pull the lens away from the body. Then just remove the amber strip!. put light assy back in oven warm and press back together.

now it worked on my Mazda for HID lights, the Mazda also had a amber reflector in the assy that could be removed.

You do it first and tell me how it goes, and take a ton of pics.
I'm sure you could get the headlight apart but I'm just not sure about the amber strip it may not look right with out a replacement lens (clear like the 07's) in it's place.

anybody else???

Ive read that this doesnt work on the 06's. That they dont come apart without damaging stuff.
