Coast states emmissions.

Can anyone tell me what exactly this means? I just bought a truck that says this on the sticker. Its an 05 3500 and it shows the output at 610 Ft-Lbs of tourqe. I thought California emissions cut the power down.

Is this something that is strictly a computer change? Could I have the dealer reprogram this?

Thanks guys.

All 610s are the same. Cali just requires every truck in their state to be smogged by the manufacturer. If its not a Cali emmision vehicle (a few other states may require this also that adopted calis crazy smog laws) then Chrysler only smogs every so many to comply with EPA and quality controls.

Thanks...that makes me feel better. I know it seems to pull just as hard as my buddy(who bought one locally and it didn't have the extra sticker).

For the life of us we couldn't detect any difference anywhere so I figured it had to be something like that or a different program in the computer.
