Just some info I got today from Cummins here in B'ham. The clutch switch (4089851) that is being referenced by our members with TSB 18-004-04 for 05's CAN be ordered from Cummins and even shipped direct to you. Use Cummins part number 3871395. $29.49 plus shipping. When mine gets here and I get it installed I'll get back to you with an update.

 

Is this the switch that is required before being able to enable the high idle option for Manual Tranny's? If so, are you going to install and then see if the dealer can enable the high idle?

 

That would be yes and yes. The switch should be here Wednesday or Thursday.

You had a chance to install and go to the dealer yet?

 

No, not yet. I haven't found a pin for the wiring harness yet. The Dealer's parts dept. said they don't have any loose pins for the harness so I'm trying to find an old harness to rob one from. The rain has stopped for now so I'm going from can to can't. I promise as soon as I get it I WILL beat feet to the computer to get everybody updated. Thanks for asking.

 

I will be keeping a close eye on your efforts - I too wish to have a high idle - any other ideas for any other systems?????
